Fender Smolder Acoustic OD

Suelo ser bastante exigente con el sonido y no tenía demasiada fe en este pedal, pero unas horas despues de probarlo lo apruebo con nota. Fender ha conseguido algo complicado, un pedal de overdrive que quede notable con guitarra acústica. Lo que más destaco es rl "blend" que te permite mezclar el sonido distorsionado con sonido limpio. Mi sistema de amplificación es palatetic de takamine, y con el overdrive a tope y el blend a mitad (resumiendo) suena de fábula!

Lo único negativo es el chasquido al pisarlo, es muy grande! Pero creo que aún así el ñedal compensa. Lo probaré en directo y si con el tiempo me molesta mucho el "click" añado un pedal "loop" de one control para activarlo desde ahí y asunto resuelto.

En resumen, si quieres añadir overdrive a tu acústica no te lo pienses... de echo es el único pedal específico para esto.

I am an amateur musician not good enough to play for or with other people. However I have a well equipped studio and play every day. I have lots of overdrives (100+) This is the first purpose built acoustic OD I have seen and I believe it is the first made so I had to have one. I already have other pedals in this range so had a good idea of what I would be getting. The Smolder looks great. Has a good range of drive for an acoustic guitar if used with another drive ( I use a Lovepedal Brownface DL). The controls are all very usable the Pickup Compensation and Blend knobs especially useful. I love the ease of battery change and the LEDs in the Knobs. The Fender Jewel light looks and sounds a great idea but personally I find them too bright. By far the worst feature in this pedal is the clunky footswitch. In a pro rig it would be unusable (the switch not the pedal) when you switch it the sounds is like someone dropped the mic. You would have to leave it on and put it in an effects loop if you wanted to switch it on and off.
If I was a gigging musician doing acoustic rock I would love to have a pair of these in my rig they would look great with some more brown acoustic pedals.
