HK Audio Sonar 115 Xi

I bought these Sight Unseen. There are no reviews on You Tube that I could find. So It was a big chance for me on these speakers Having Previously been in a band That used 12 Mackie Thrash which I found a bit bright. I did as much research as I could for the price range I could afford.
I never like to follow a crowd so decided on the HK Audio Sonar 115 Xi.

Now a few things I find could be improved before I move to what I like about these speakers.
Only one handle on the side. These speakers are heavy and it would be soooo much easier to put onto a stand I there was a handle both sides. Currently there is a handle on one side only and the top.
The fans are noisy! as soon as I stop I can hear fan noise straight away. Now bare in mind this was in my living room. Would you hear that in a gig environment? Possibly not but it is there and there is no denying it.

Now onto what I like. The sound quality for me is fantastic clear Highs, Mids and bass . No distortion that I could hear. But like I said this is a living room environment. I will update with a gig review later.

They are real easy to use and configure via the back panel. So you can set the speakers to how you want them to sound right out the box. The Bluetooth so far worked flawlessly.

It keeps the settings in memory so you don't have to keep faffing about.

I did connect them to my subwoofer as well. I had to drop the settings on the Sub because literally everything in the house shook even my teeth where rattling. Being a bassist I suppose that's only to be expected.

So am I pleased with my purchase you bet. I did have some confidence in my purchase knowing that Harmon is a well respected brand. Thomann as always where very helpful and delivery was within the expected delivery time.

The speakers are well made nothing lose or anything that looks cheap they look and sound like a quality pair of speakers that I know they are. I know its early days but I'm pretty sure I will get years of performance out of these speakers.

So being outside the box is not always a bad thing. For me it worked out rather well
