Outstanding sound for modern styles
I’ve been playing the Ibanez BTB605-TGF for a few months now, and honestly, it’s exceeded every expectation I had when I bought it.
The first thing that stands out is the build quality — this bass feels incredibly solid and premium. The neck is super comfortable, especially for a 5-string, and the neck-through construction gives it amazing sustain and stability. Even during long sessions, it stays smooth and easy to play, which is a huge plus.
Sound-wise, this thing is an absolute beast. The tonal range is massive — from deep, punchy lows to clear, articulate highs. Whether I’m playing tight metal lines, groovy fingerstyle, or even slap, it handles everything effortlessly. Amazing
Not my first five-string, but it looks and feels much better than my other one, I'm looking forward to the years of playing it I will have. MY only issue is the sharp edge where my right forearm rests while playing.
