Jupiter Try-Out-Box

These are special mouthpieces intended kids starter instruments.
They don't fit standard instruments.

I bought them alone to be cheap mouthpieces to try out with cardboard instruments. I'd always wanted a brass mouthpiece (but they are usually pricey) and I'd been curious about flute, so adding cones or tubes to these mouthpieces makes interesting sounds and gives a hint of what the real instruments are like.

The soprano-ish reed mouthpiece didn't really work for me - I already play alto sax and the plastic reed here is just way too soft and small - but I count the rest as good value. Adding a tube to the flute mouthpiece convinced me that I understood the technique, and I progressed to a real flute. I probably won't play brass but the mouthpieces are fun anyway.

They are essentially a hard plastic shell like ABS with soft rubber (perhaps silicone) grips and mouthpiece cups. They seem well made and feel nice.

I can't comment on the intended use, but I think they're great. If you're curious and can spare the money just get them.

Vorweg: Ich bin in erster Linie Holzbläser.
V.a. das Rohrblatt-Mundstück spricht super leicht an! Ich bin schon gespannt, wie sich das auf diverse Schnupperstunden auswirkt. :)
Das Flöten-Mundstück kann sich im leisen Bereich oder bei schlampigem Ansatz als etwas bockig herausstellen, wenn man aber alles richtig macht, kommt auch hier ein (sehr hoher) Ton.

Blech-Mundstücke funktionieren auch.
Allerdings hätte ich mir eigene Mundstücke statt dem Stecksatz gewunschen. Die Trompeten-Version ist im Vergleich zu einem richtigen-Trompeten-Mundstück etwas zu groß geraten, die große Version ist für ein Posaunen-Mundstück zu klein.
Was fehlt, ist ein Waldhorn-Mundstück!

Der Vollständigkeit halber wären noch Doppelrohrblätter cool, die sind aber wahrscheinlich produktionstechnisch nicht so einfach zu lösen…

Parfait pour s'entraîner aux différents types d'embouchures, becs et anches. On regrettera peut-être l'absence d'une anche double.

Le tout est en plastique donc très résistant, on peut le mettre entre les mains d'un enfant sans crainte.

Le bec de clarinette s'adapte au "dood", je suppose qu'il en est de même pour les autres instruments (on ne peut PAS mettre le bec de flûte sur le dood, par exemple).

Très bien pour sentir les différences de taille pour les embouchures des cuivres, avec un simple entonnoir on peut déjà s'amuser un peu !!

Auf das Nuvo-Doot passt leider nur das Klarinettenmundstück. Es gibt auf der Jupiter-Webseite Bastelanleitungen für Handstücke aus dem Baumarkt. Viel einfacher lassen sich die Mundstücke mit den Thomann-Blockflöten aus Kunststoff kombinieren. Auf die Sopranino passen das Klarinettenmundstück und (mit dem Unterteil) die Aufsätze für Trompete und Posaune. Ohne Unterteil gehen diese genau auf die Tenorflöte. Das Querflötenmundstück passt auf das Handstück von Adris-Sopranflöte. Ein toller Spaß zum Ausprobieren. Mit der Intonation kann man sich dann üben.
