Good idea
For years I'd used those long wooly 'pad savers' in my saxes, before I realised that they were probably holding moister inside the sax. When I stopped using them I needed to get an end cap to make up the extra space in my case, and being adjustable the Gap Cap is great for that.
A side note, the one I got developed a problem so I dropped gap cap an email in the US. They were absolutely great and sorted it without question. They then went on to revise some elements of the product. Not only did they listen and understand, but they did something about it... that's worth paying for in my opinion!

Keeps your saxophone in place
So this product is made so that the saxophone can dry evenly since air can go through it.
The best part though is that since its adjustable it can really hold your saxophone in any case. If your saxophone moves inside your case this little product will keep it in place.

Overpriced but very useful
More than 50 bucks for this things is definitely too much. But ironically this is a must if your sax moves in a case.
This thing looks and feels pretty sturdy (I wouldn't expect anything else for such an overpriced accessory), and I use it with Protec BM305CT case.
Bottom line - it's better to spend this money to get something like this just to secure your sax, think of it as an investment.
