Context:
This set should work for absolute teens-adult beginners, but I took a set for
1. me - a hobby guitarist who have started 20 years ago and wanted to refresh the knowledge and skill now
2. and for my 5 yo son to help him learn music theory if he requests.
Cons:
1. Readability - The bemole-diez notes are not readable. It would help if the designer left only the most popular "black keys" titles, not both of them. For example, the best option is using F#, G#, A#, C#, Eb; since Gb, Ab, Bb, Db, D# are rarely used in chords. (Okay, probably D# is the popular one). I can't see anything because of these F#/Gb.
2. Feeling on a guitar while playing is terrible. I can feel the expensive vinyl stickers, but they are way cheaper than my gorgeous guitar. And look not so well on a light fretboard. I feel the borders of the stickers and it's an unpleasant feeling that ruins the guitar experience for me.
3. Confusing. I forgot how to play when I placed the stickers: I knew where my 7th fret with closed eyes. Now, then I see all these numbers of frets it completely messing with my habbits. I'm literally freezing - it's too much information at the moment.
Pros:
1. Material quality, - feels like expensive stickers
2. Print quality, - its matte, sharp, with good color balance.
3. Glue type is ideal and doesn't harm the fretboard
I guess, something like this could work if it was readable. This set is a waste of money for me. I hope somebody can find the value anyway.
Thanks for the experience.
