A small solid pedalboard, made out of metal (yet very light which is a plus when you have to carry your stuff), black powder coated, is indeed clear that this is a solid and durable piece. Pedaltrain is nowadays a reputed and popular brand, so no surprises there.
Comes complete with velcro (a less than generous three exact stripes to exactly cover the front surface and a couple of plastic ties, but it will suffice anyways). Not premium quality velcro, but it will hold your pedals in place and will do what is supposed to do.
You can fit at most 5 Boss sized pedals, depending on the cables (probably up to seven if you accommodate awkwardly smaller pedals a la one control, Ibanez Mini, Mooer preamps. AMT bricks and mini drives and such, together with extra flat cabling).
This is a flat surface, so consider that if you get overly creative in the placement of your pedals across your available real state, you will have to do serious foot gymnastics to reach those pedals in the upper row (and even then you might be stomping on two at once, or missing the trick overall). In a nutshell, 5 standard pedals or less is a reasonable calculation for this pedalboard.
I had no problems outfitting my Harley Benton Pro power supply, but is certain that if you intend to use the most popular power bricks, you will run out of headroom on the bottom of the board. Obviously, you can top mount your power, but then you can accommodate EVEN less pedals. Probably all this will no be a problem for users favoring non isolated, daisy chained transformers. Summarizing: this is minimal (and probably not planned to pro users).
It does what is does, with no frills or options. It was obviously designed to entry level players, enthusiasts with little pedals (or bass most players) or to clean up the clutter of your more essential pedals . Nothing more. Uninspiring board, yet useful and priced accordingly.
BUT! (and this is a big but) the carrying case (included) is superb. Excellent quality, nice padding, padded handle, shoulder strap and perfect fit. I even had been able to fit an extremely high pedal (an AMT brick which sports an AX7 tube on top of it and had no problems to zip the bag, not even snugging the top of the bag. I am more than impressed to see this quality in this price range. Just for that, I would recommend this one to those with few pedals on their arsenal.
