Beautiful sounding Instrument

I was looking for a Taisho Koto for a long time and was contemplating about whether to get an Electric or an Electric-Acoustic one and came to a conclusion that I like the more natural sound of this amazing instrument and this TAS 11 from Suzuki fits the bill exactly.
It sounds beautiful. It has a very rich sound that fills the room whether you play it just as an acoustic instrument or use the pickup to plug it into an amp and effects. It is a delicate instrument and it is pretty light but the build is very solid and firm and it feels very good to play on. I feel that the pressure keys might feel small for people with big hands, (my fingers are rather on the thin side so it fits great).
The case is very useful to keep this great instrument in, it is sturdy, beautiful and with great quality. I was happy to realize that the TAS 11 is available at Thomann's, since I thought I had to somehow order a Taisho Koto from Japan, maybe even second hand.
I am very satisfied with this purchase that came in with a fast delivery and great service from Thomann.

Taisho harpen er ganske enkelt et helt unikt musikinstrument, som er nemt at spille på, og så lyder den smukt med en blanding af et arabisk og indisk klangunivers. Den er veludført og har desuden den fineste polstrerede taske, som passer godt på instrumentet.

Dit is geen harp maar een koto. Het instrument wordt bespeeld als een klavier met de linkerhand en als een gitaar met de rechterhand. Het was al in de fabriek gestemd en kon daardoor meteen worden bespeeld. De bouw- en geluidskwaliteit zijn in orde en dat mag worden verwacht voor deze prijs. In Azië betaal je er een stuk minder voor. Daar worden ze gebruikt in het muziekonderwijs. Ik geef een ster minder omdat bepaalde beloofde accessoires zoals extra snaren en plectra ontbreken en omdat de handleiding alleen in het Japans is. Daarentegen zit er wel een draagband voor de luxe koffer bij.
