Promising Design, Weak Gain Performance
This is a very discreet two-channel preamp. Both channels are similar, but it’s important to point out that the overdrive channel is quite weak—you have to push the drive very high just to get a mildly crunchy tone.
The high-gain channel shows a similar issue, which ends up turning this unit into more of a noise generator than a truly usable preamp for anyone looking for real performance.
It also doesn’t handle other pedals well. Even when used with a simple pedal, the unit becomes almost useless due to its poor response in terms of gain control.
I hope T-Rex takes this product into consideration and improves the relationship between gain and level. In its current state, the boost function often acts more as a noise amplifier, especially when the gain is pushed to high levels.
It had everything to be a powerful unit, but in this case, T-Rex still has a lot to improve.

Two channel tube distortion with independent volume boost.
The concept of this pedal itself is attractive and it sounds nice.
Well trimmed but still natural sound IMAO.
Cab. Sim. was unnecessary by the way. It wasn't worth it for me.
