Ebony is not the ideal material for a slide
I needed a slide and bought this on a whim. generally, it has too much friction to be a good slide; get a glass or metal slide instead. also, the porous quality of the wood absolves string vibrations, basically making it useless on the higher strings. don't buy it just because it looks cool
