Great for big band
Got this for concert band but probably suits a soloist better.Warm ,rich sound at the bottom and brighter,more projection at the upper end.Would work well for a lead alto(or second alto) in a big band.Quite open,so good volume when pushed a bit.Tuning good.I use red box Java 2.5 reeds but ZZ 2.5s work also.Because of the warm bottom and bright top end it takes a little while to play evenly and probably suits someone with a couple of years experience.Very good jazz mouthpiece.
