Absolute Kaufempfehlung!! Für den Preis eigentlich viel zu gut. Klang, Verarbeitung, Optik und Feeling sind wirklich herausragend für die Preisklasse. Auch der Koffer ist sehr hochwertig und ist wirklich durchdacht. Das mitgelieferte Mouthpiece, Ligature und Swab setzen dem ganzen die Krone auf und sind vor allem für Anfänger sehr praktisch. 5*

Viel Alt-Saxofon fürs Geld

Das Better-Sax Upgrade "Session" kommt spielbereit mit sehr guter Intonation. Die Mechaniken laufen glatt und liegen gut in der Hand, inkl. der Perlmutt-Einlagen. Der Ton ist zweigeteilt. Leise: viele Mitten und rund, fast wie bei meinem Selmer Reference 54. Bei lautem Spiel: kernig, sonor, aber eher "japanisch". Der Klang liegt für mich zwischen den neuen Altsaxofonen Signature und Supreme von Selmer - bei einem Drittel des Preises. Dieser Sound hat mir bei den beiden Selmer-Saxofonen nicht gefallen und gefällt mir auch hier nicht. Deshalb geht das Instrument zurück. Die Optik (Gold/matt) ist Geschmacksache, das Alto erinnert an eine Weihnachtsbaumkugel. Mir gefällt es nicht.
Der Koffer ist extrem praktisch und stabil: Tragegurte, geräumiges Vorderfach, gute Passform fürs Instrument. Da wackelt nichts. Neben einem Putztuch gibt es ein Meyer Mundstück (vermutlich 5M5, mit Bissplättchen) dazu. Wer nach seinem Anfänger-Modell einen Einstieg in die Mittel- / Oberklasse sucht, bekommt hier extrem viel Saxofon für sein Geld.
