I really tried everything. First I tried the Bruno Tilz Adapter cornet - trumpet for using my beloved cornet mouthpiece in my Eb trumpet, but the adapter turned the instrument completely out of tune. Then I tried the Bruno Tilz Adapter Trombone - Bass Trombone for using my small shank trombone mouthpieces in my large shank trombone, but it simply didn't work: the inner diameter of the adapter is way too large an none of my mouthpieces (Bach, Warburton, Marcinkiewicz, Schilke) would fit in it... all remained loose. Useless. In a last desperate attempt I tried this adapter, the Bruno Tilz Adapter Trombone - Baritone, because I noticed in the Thomann specifications that the inner diameter of this adapter should be slightly smaller than the Trombone - Bass Trombone (which is really weird, since both adapters should receive the same small shank trombone mouthpiece!). The result was frustrating: with this adapter some of the small shank trombone mouthpieces barely fitted the adapter, while others continued to be loose (depending on the decorations they have at the base of the shank), but the exterior diameter of the adapter was too small to fit in the large shank trombone receiver. Admittedly, it was expected that the exterior diameter would be too small, but the fact that Bruno Tilz cannot manage to produce an inner diameter suitable for standard small shank trombone mouthpieces is disturbing. I have tried hard, but so far I could find no Bruno Tilz adapter fit for purpose. Which mouthpieces do Bruno Tilz technicians have in mind for their adapters? No idea. Maybe their adapters work only with their own mouthpieces? That would be a really silly business model. Unfortunately, for trombone Thomann offers only the Bruno Tilz adapters and their own brand adapters (which are quite low quality and tune down the instrument), so that the customers have no option of a decent adapter for trombone.
