Cordoba 20TMCE Tenor Ukulele

Antes de nada he de decir que es el primer ukelele que tengo, con lo cual mi valoración es un tanto subjetiva. Lo elegí porque conozco guitarras de la misma casa y me parece fiable.
En cuanto al sonido, éste es vibrante como debe ser un ukelele y al mismo tiempo tiene una sonoridad que para mí es inesperada, cálida y con una duración de las notas bastante largas.
En cuanto a la fabricación, quitando algunos pequeños excesos de barniz en la unión del puente, el resto está muy bien.
La estética es todavía mejor que en la foto de la página.
Por otro lado, la pastilla es un poco floja, pero bueno, ya era de esperar y con un pequeño ajuste del ampli es suficiente para que el sonido sea adecuado.
En fin, un bonito instrumento con buenas cualidades para tratarse del primer uke.

This instrument was supplied as a replacement for a Gretsch G9121-ACE. The Gretsch was absolutely appallling.... As supplied, the bridge was lifting, the pickup had no output on the G and A strings, the fret ends were rough enough to cut you and on measuring the scale length, it turned out that the bridge had been fitted in the wrong place...

This Cordoba is only slightly better made. The top of the headstock and elsewhere on the body show signs of tool marks under the finish. The action at the nut and saddle are high, both the nut and saddle are very poorly fitted. Most worryingly though, the neck has been shaped to the point where, at the first fret, it is far too thin to be comfortable to play. After only 10 minutes, I experienced pain in my fretting hand. In the long term, this would surely cause me tendonitis.

When swapping the Gretsch for this Cordoba, I was told it was the only one left in stock and it had a problem with a visible glue line at the heel of the neck. The glue line was not a concern to me but, looking at stock availability on the website, I can see that this was not actually the last one available. So why was I told it was?

Finally, I was under the impression these ukes were made in Portugal - in fact, production has been moved to China.

My first Ukulele was a Paisen brand. Less than 50€, and I Brighton this one as I thought sound was going to be dramatically better, however despiste I’ve been playing along a month with this Córdoba Ukulele, sound is not so vivid and it is like the strings that come with it are not good quality. Reverb effect turn off quickly. Does anybody know what kind of strings come with this instrument?
I don’t really think that is the instrument but the strings, as I’ve been looking into comments on the web and they were good.
