Great and very pretty

This is my first classical guitar so I can’t compare much on the sound side of it. I must say it looks incredibly good and it’s a very pretty add to my collection. The body is perfectly sealed and the blue off it is very bright and nice to look at. I only played it for a bit and sadly it seems as the frets edges are a bit sharp as I got scratched from sliding through the neck, but nothing a bit of work can’t fix. 10/10 would recommend :)

En complément de mes guitares plus haut de gamme, j’ai acquis cette petite guitare pour un usage courant et pour les situations où je ne pouvais garantir tout le soin et les précautions que je réserve à mes guitares plus onéreuses.
Guidé par le sérieux de la marque Cordoba que je connais par ailleurs, je me suis laissé tenté par ce petit instrument original.
J’ai été bluffé par la qualité de cet instrument en regard de son prix modeste : qualité globale de fabrication, finition simple mais impeccable, et des choix de lutherie qui m’ont séduit. Notamment une touche maple plutôt rare pour une guitare nylon qui lui donne une clarté de timbre typique, éclisses et fond en acajou brut quasiment non vernis qui magnifie sa résonnance et est très agréable au toucher. Belle justesse, présence d’un trussrod, et le budget est pleinement consacré à la lutherie alors qu’on se contente tout à fait d’une rosace simplement dessinée, surtout si l’on s’accommode de la fantaisie du coloris. Pour une guitare de ce budget avec une table en simple placage, elle sonne terriblement bien. Elle a surpassé mes attentes. Je l’amène partout sans crainte.

Terrible fretjob

My previous nylon string guitar was a cheap Gewa (sold under Thomann brand) with a thick gloss finish and a painted fretboard. I ended up getting this for four main reasons: the color, the satin finish, reviews praising the sound, and the included gig bag.

Normally I wait for a while before writing a review, but after taking the guitar out of the box, I immediately noticed the extremely rough frets. They were sticking out way too much on both sides and were so rough that any vibrato attempts would only roll the string along (instead of actually sliding on) the fret. The tuners worked as you would expect and the overall finish felt good (though visually it looks cheap in some places, notably the rosette sticker bleeding on the neck), but after a short session my left thumb and index finger were completely shredded (including three deeper cuts with blood coming out). The sound was definitely good, but not being able to play without completely filing and polishing the frets (which obviously means removing the strings as well) was a big disappointment.

I ended up returning the guitar and will next try either "La Mancha Rubinito Azul SM" or "Ortega RST5MOC" and a seperate gig bag, hopefully they don't have have a neck featuring 19 blades.
