DR Strings Black Beauties BKE-9/46

Son unas cuerdas fantásticas; el recubrimiento negro le otorgan a estas cuerdas un look fantástico y un tacto muy suave (al menos para mi gusto).

Además de aportar un valor estético, el acabado brinda más durabilidad al set en comparación a otras marcas que he probado.

Respecto al sonido, le aportan al instrumento un cierto "color" más oscuro, pero muy nítido y equilibrado en comparación por ejemplo a las típicas recubiertas en níquel (que parecen brindar un tono que puede pecar de brillante en exceso).

En resumen: unas cuerdas fantásticas que todo el mundo debería probar!

Bought 2 of these Black Beauties to black out 2 of my guitars. Although expensive I thought I'd give them a try. They look great after changing the strings and sound good as well. Had read other reviews that pinch harmonics may be an issue but found them to be fine. Only problem was after the first rehearsal that the black coating came off a lot and left dust between the neck and bridge pickups. I think that these may be better for maybe just photographs as the extra money paid and one use with the coating coming off doesnt seem worth it for me. My normal choice of strings are D'darrio NYXL's which are a few ££'s cheaper. I will revert back to these once the strings need changed. I suspect after more playing the coating will deteriorate more and the strings will start to look even worse.

Strings were easy to bend and put on using a hook technique. Cut your nails and wash your hands before playing, it's always good practice for all cases but a bit more important to take extra care with these as the black coating comes off relatively easily from scratches and fast, thick picks like JP Trinity or Ibanez Elastomer. Unplugged sound is a bit muted, especially on legato but slides and bends are as easy as on a normal 9-46 set despite the soft "painted" feel they have

ich habe die saiten schon Anfang 2007 aufgezogen. Von der optik auf meiner gitarre (schwarze hardware) der hingucker ! Der Klang (was ja wohl das wichtigste Kriterium überhaupt ist) auch gut; aber auch nicht besser als E. Balls oder andere hochwertige Markenseiten. Das mit dem klang, sound etc. ist so'ne sache: kommt in erster linie aus den Fingern des Spielers; dann noch die Pickup's und die elektronik etc. Aber die saiten kamen mir steifer vor als andere (natürlich in gleicher stärke). Deshalb rissen, oder besser brachen die 3 hohen saiten recht bald (ca. 10 Std.). Die umwickelten 3 tiefen Saiten sahen an den vielbenutzten griffbrettlagen und im plektrumbereich auch schnell alt d.h. blankgespielt aus (nach ca. 30 Std.)-was mich allerdings nicht so störte. Ich muss dazu allerdings auch sagen das ich einen (wohl Anfängertypischen) harten Anschlag habe und diesen noch meist mit Pickboy Carbonplecs 1 mm ausführe.

Die drei tiefen saiten habe ich dann nach ca. 1 Jahr !! ;-) doch runter; mal was neues ausprobieren. Ich werde mir die Saiten irgendwann mal wieder aufziehen; die aktuellen Elexier gore tex saiten sind ja inzwischen auch ausgereifter als die ersten serien. das gleiche könnte ich mir von den B. Beauties jetzt auch vorstellen.
