Very good
Very mid forward. The split coil functionality on the neck pickup is a very nice bonus.
My first emg pickups and was amazed with how versatile this are.
Mounted it on a HB sc500 without any trouble (apart from the necessary routing for the battery compartement).
Recomend it.

surprisingly very versatile
the EMG 81 is a no brainer. everyone knows.
the 89r is excellent too, sounds full and fat on humbucker mode and really clean on split mode. I like using middle position with split neck for cleans.
my only gripes would be that the included wiring is too short if you have jackson rhoads, King V or warrior with the output jack on the upper horn and that the pickup height screws provided are chrome so if you have black hardware, you need to order new screws that fit US dimensions lol

They do what pickups do, no tone difference between any emgs but these look nice
