Realmente bueno

Muy buen pache, de buena calidad. Buen sonido. Se nota que puedes controlar mejor el sonido, en mi caso lo tengo en una caja que no es de gama alta y me va bien.

Versatile
Therealanimale 10.05.2026
Bought this as a spare for my only 13” Tama Club Jam Metro snare drum.
A low grade snare that came with the kit.
The original factory skin was terrible, so I got this Edge Control because of the excess ring I experienced.

That helped a bit. Still had to dampen it with gel. But the sound got more body.
It found it’s best tune in the low and midrange, and I left it like that for years because this is not muy main snare drum. Played it very occasionally
But it’s a real looker. Very sturdy. Hardly any traces from the sticks and I have had this for years, aside from the occasional pauzes in playing it.

Then it got a fixed spot in a private rehearsal studio, and it did it’s job there.
When the strainer broke, I decided to upgrade the whole kettle.
New strainer, new die cast hoop on top, new Aquarian single ply snare side resonant, and the plan was to also change the Evans batter into an Aquarian coated double ply.
Because I wanted a higher tune, and I didn’t think the Evans could reach those.
But it never hurts to experiment, so I was curious to try it out with the renewed snaredrum with reinforced die cast top hoop.

Well..the Evans is still on top. What a difference a die cast hoop (and a decent resonant skin0 can make I already knew.
But now I could crank the Evans much higher without choking it.
It stays open in every tune.
The darkness in it remains, but that makes this 13” snare sound bigger than it is.

It’s not an easy tunable skin. But full of surprises.
On your way of tuning to the desired sound, you’ll encounter a variety of other tunings that sound interesting.
You can make it sing or ring or both, also by tuning the new strainer which is much better than the original Tama cheapness they put on this (which is un-Tama)

This is a very versatile skin, I recommend using it with at least 1 die-cast hoop on top to make it really come alive.

a
warm with lots of attack
anthrophagus 21.03.2018
been playing it for a few months now, very happy with it ! gives a lot of attack but still keeps it warm , even on a steel snare, also very noticable that the skin doesn't get scratched up as easily as others, mine has a lot of hours of playing on it, but shows no signs of wearing down.
