The flagship tag comes from Godin's own page which leaves you doubting when you see how few videos there are on this, which is a pity as it's shown being played with a plectrum only. I would suggest it being shown both with plectrum and finger style playing albeit classical, jazz, Bossa or whatever. I mention this as it's characteristics render it as an awesome instrument in various genres.
It's neck width is ideal; a half way house between their multiac slim and full classical models meaning the left hand stretch is not too daunting for more electric orientated players but there's enough space between strings for more classical style players to feel at home. It's evenly blanced all across the fretboard, ergonomically fluid to play, in short a delight, and all this before plugging in.
As I've been playing "Slim" for years I thought I knew what to expect, sometimes it's nice to be wrong. The sound range on this work of art is extraordinary, even before a little tweaking with reverb and a graphic eq (mxr 10 band and a boss rv 500, for studio mixes etc) it sounds natural, believable. I spent the first week just exploring the options mixing it's own 3 band with the lyric mic which give it a far more fully acoustic sound than the Slim for example. On a persoanl side I have found while moving from the deluxe to the Slim that I alter between thinking horizontally to vertically which means at least in my case paying closer attention to note choices and intention on the deluxe.
The craftsmanship and finish are of the highest standard, it's not a cheap instrument but It's worth every penny, oops I meant Euro.
