Harley Benton CLO-70ASR NAT AllSolid

¡Uf, qué guitarra! La Harley Benton CLO-70ASR NAT AllSolid me dejó flipando. Desde que la cogí, noté la calidad de la madera maciza vibrando en mis manos. El sonido... ¡madre mía! Un tono cálido y con una pegada increíble, cada nota resonaba con un sustain delicioso. El mástil se sentía súper cómodo, los acordes fluían sin esfuerzo y las melodías salían solas.

Para ser sincero, no esperaba tanto por este precio. La sensación general es de un instrumento mucho más caro. El acabado natural es precioso y deja que la madera respire, ¡y vaya si respira! Me pasé horas tocando y no quería soltarla. Si buscas una acústica con un sonido de verdad, de madera maciza, que te inspire y no te deje en la ruina, ¡lánzate a por esta! Yo quedé encantadísimo.

To be honest I didn’t expect much for 299€, however Harley Benton have done an excellent job of producing a very playable solid wood acoustic guitar at this price point. The manufacturing and set up were pretty much spot on. I’ve had the guitar for a month or so now and it has been played every day, it stays in tune and it is very comfortable to play.
After two weeks I changed the original HB strings for a set of D’Addario 12-53 XS strings, not because the originals were bad just so that I could do a comparison. There was a difference, the D’Addario were fuller and gave a more rounded tone (to my ear) but it wasn’t really necessary the originals were fine. The one aspect that I see as a potential weakness is the tuners, they appear quite fragile, they’ll probably be fine and as I said previously, the guitar stayed in tune well.
All in all a great value guitar and very pleased with my purchase. I’ve added some additional dimensions of the guitar that I couldn’t find on the website, someone might find them useful.

Bought this guitar after reading the specs and seeing the price. Solid spruce top and SOLID rosewood back and sides for £250! Incredible value. Guitar arrived in great condition, with a pleasingly low action. One criticism I would have is that it is instantly noticeable that the nut is not quite cut low enough - feels as if you have to press the strings down just a little bit more on the first fret than you should have to to get a clean chord sound. Speaking of strings, I’m a fan of 10s for acoustic. These come with 12s, which I’ve always found too stiff and difficult to play - it’s much easier to fret and bend the 10s (and I’m not good enough to notice subtle differences in the sound between 12s and 10s). Sound is very good to my ears for both finger picking and chord strumming. Overall, a beautiful looking guitar, with easy playability and a good tone. And it’s £250! Incredible.

1. Begutachtung nach dem Auspacken:
1a verarbeitetes Instrument, alle Holzarbeiten wie Binding, Armrest,
Rosette Schallloch und das Palisanderfunier an der Kopfvorder- und Rückseite sind super verarbeitet. Chapeau!!! Die Decke aus Sitkafichte ist auch einwandfrei verarbeitet. Sieht jetzt noch sehr hell aus, aber das gibt sich ja mit der Zeit. Die Bünde sind sauber abgerichtet, kein Makel festzustellen. Die Saitenlage ist ab Werk sehr gut eingestellt, der Hals ebenfalls, muß man nichts nachjustieren!
Die Lackierung an Boden und Zargen zeigt Fehlstellen, die Poren des Holzes wurden nicht richtig verfüllt. Daher der Punkt Abzug bei der Verarbeitung. Ach ja, Geruchsprobe: Sie riecht, wie eine Massivholzgitarre riechen muß: kein Kleber- oder Farbgeruch sondern einfach richtig gut nach Holz, wie eine Zigarrenkiste. Super!!
2. Bespielbarkeit und Klang
Der Hals fühlt sich richtig gut an, wird ja mit Smooth C Profil beschrieben, auch große Hände (wie meine) kommen darauf gut zurecht. Die Bünde sind super abgerichtet, es gibt kein störendes Gefühl an den Händen.
Die 12er Saiten sind m.E. zu kräftig für diese Gitarre, hab 11er Pyramid aufgezogen und werde noch mal 10er ausprobieren, das wird der Gitarre wohl eher gerecht.
Der Klang ist klasse, die Gitarre hat ein tolles Sustain, alles klingt sehr ausgewogen. Egal ob Picking oder Strumming mit weichem oder hartem Plek, die hat einen tollen Sound!!!
3. Fazit
Wer ein OM Model sucht, dann noch in massiver Bauweise, dessen Budget knapper bemessen ist, wird mit dieser Gitarre bestens bedient!!! Die Gitarrenbauer haben einen super Job gemacht!!!
