I have several Ibanez RG guitars in my collection - 550, 1550 and RGA 121. But I have never owned an RG 565, although I really liked them in 1991 - 1992. So when I saw that Ibanez were reissuing the model, I acted immediately.
As always, Thomann sent the guitar quickly and well packaged. Congratulations.
In short – a wonderful guitar!!!
The color (EB) is warm and pleasant.
Extremely fast and comfortable neck. This is the most playable guitar of all I have and that is it.
The V8 pickup sounds wonderful, but it is not for modern metal or metalcore. It is made for hard rock and classic metal.
The only downside is the infinity R adapter. The V1 and V7 on my older RG guitars are much more wide-ranging. Of course, this is subjective. I will probably replace this pickup someday, but not now.
Once again – this is a wonderful guitar. Buy it.

Good guitar
It's my 3rd RG guitar, I have RG570 and RG7620 both from 1999. I'm happy to say the quality is still very high.
The sound is exactly what you expect from a basswood body - maple neck - rosewood fingerboard combo.
The bridge pickup is ok, it can stay. However I'm not a fan of the neck pickup, will order replacement soon (Seymour Duncan Little 59 maybe?). To me the neck pickup sounds like a pickup from some very cheap strat copy guitar. like why would you put that in this beautiful guitar?
The paintjob and overall build quality is great but not perfect (it's very near perfect though). Minor tooling mark on fretboard binding in my case.
In my case, after receiving guitar, I needed to do some bridge adjustment and minor setup, which is fine. Don't forget small screws inside height adjustment screws for the bridge. In my case they were loose, so I could adjust the height, but don't forget to check. I already broke one before.
After setup and getting strings very low... man.. what a shredd-machine!
For now, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and always nice to do business with Thomann.
