I bought this backpack in addition to the solid blaze 180, specifically for everyday urban lifestyle usage.
I wanted a minimalistic and stylish yet efficient and durable backpack with enough space to comfortably carry a 17” laptop, 13” tablet, a powerbank, some books, and groceries. This backpack delivers on all fronts.
Everything fits very snugly and is protected from rain. The external water bottle pocket is handy. Although a bit slim at first sight it is enough for daily short-term commutes. I even found a small thermo can that fits perfectly. Additionally, I love the environmental commitment of the brand, using recycled plastic bottles to make a high-quality product.
Some things to consider:
• The tablet pocket on the laptop pocket side could be larger. A small tablet fits in, but larger models (like the iPad Pro 12.9”) have to be placed in the more loose pocket opposite the laptop pocket. It’s fine, but a bit annoying.
• An extra zipper to (un)tighten the backpack would be a great bonus. I only miss this feature because I know it from the 180.
• Although very comfortable for short commutes, when packed to the brim and walking more than 30 min you might experience some shoulder/neck pain.
All in all a very good and reliable backpack custom-tailored to the urban lifestyle of a movement-oriented music producer. Great for biking back and forth between studio and home!
