I own a few Sire guitars, and they are always great value. This one is no exception, came almost flawless. The pickups are great sounding, I don't feel a need to upgrade them. The flamed maple veneer is gorgeous, usually reserved for higher priced guitars. However, there were 2 flaws worth mentioning:
1. The strings that came with it were Daddario Chromes flatwound. One of my favourite. But they seem to have been kept under tension for a long time, and cannot be intonated anymore. Had to change to a fresh set. Quite a waste for such a nice set of strings.
2. The fretboard is lined, but the gaps have not been filled fully at the edge, and you can feel them as you glide your hand down the fretboard. Its not a distraction, but I own other lined fretless, and this one is the exception.
Hence my review is a total of 4 stars. I would still recommend it, maybe you will get a better one then mine.
