This little gadget does everything I need it to do. I have a number of devices that only have headphone outputs which don´t work well with standard audio interfaces and digital recorders which are usually made to receive balanced signals. Now I can record off my little Casio keyboard or transfer samples from my phone no problem. There is also an awesome trick using a Zoom R24 digital recorder (and maybe on the newer models too) where you can use the headphone output for reamping by sending only the desired track to the headphone output as a metronome sound. I can record a dry guitar part and then experiment with different effects pedals, recording and then blending these sounds. You can find all the details by searching for "The hidden output of the Zoom R8 (and R24)" on a page by Henky Backer.
The device itself looks robust and I have had zero problems while using it. It´s a great value compared to similar devices by other brands. Thomann and it´s house brands, Millenium, Harley Benton, etc., have given me the opportunity to be able to afford gear that would otherwise be out of my price range as an amateur musician.
