Das Presonus Quantum HD2 ist ein Audio-Interface, mit dem bis zu 20 Ein- und 24 Ausgänge übertragen werden können. Auf seiner Rückseite besitzt es hierfür zwei Mic/Line Eingänge, ein S/PDIF, zwei optische Ein- und Ausgänge und vier Line-Outs. Auf der Vorderseite befinden zwei zusätzliche Line-Eingänge zum Anschluss von Gitarren und Bässen, sowie zwei Line-Outs für das praxisnahe Senden von Signalen an externes Studio-Equipment. Zudem bietet die Vorderseite neben zwei Kopfhörerausgängen eine übersichtliche Kontrolle über alle wichtigen Parameter zur Aufnahme. Über die Funktion Auto Gain gelingt jede Aufnahme ohne vorheriges Einpegeln. Die PreSonus MAX-HD-Technologie sorgt für Transparenz und Präzision über einen weiten Frequenzbereich und einem Gain von bis zu +75dB. Mit dieser Ausstattung können hochqualitative Aufnahmen intuitiv erfolgen.

Flexible connections for high-quality recordings

The rear panel of the PreSonus Quantum HD2 is equipped with two mic/line inputs and outputs, which include XLR/jack combo sockets for maximum flexibility. This doesn't just enable the connection of microphones: Line levels can also be received via the mic jacks, for example from keyboards or digital pianos. To the left are the four studio monitor connections, for two pairs that can be used for flexible monitoring. MIDI data can be transmitted via the S/PDIF connection, and the integrated preamps can process signals in a quality of up to 192kHz and 24 bit, with a dynamic range of 117dB(A). There are two inputs on the front panel suitable for connecting two electric guitars, which represent a high-impedance signal source for an audio interface: The ports were developed as part of a collaboration with guitar manufacturer Fender, so the sound quality is outstanding.

Perfectly equipped for studio recordings

The PreSonus Quantum HD2 was designed for musicians and content creators who want to make high-quality recordings from up to four analogue signal sources at the same time. Success is virtually guaranteed because the device can be used so intuitively – the Auto Gain function in particular helps make spontaneous recordings a reality. These options can also be expanded by including digital inputs and outputs via the rear panel. If phantom power is activated, condenser microphones can be used for more precise recordings, while low latency during recordings is a given thanks to the drivers specially developed by PreSonus – this is particularly useful for live applications. The loopback function makes it easy to record monitor mixes via virtual channels, and for the most demanding recordings, special settings can be made via the Universal Control app to perfectly customise every aspect.

Die Firma Presonus ist ein US-amerikanisches Unternehmen, das 1995 von Jim Odom und Brian Smith in Baton Rouge, Lousiana gegründet wurde und sowohl professionelle als auch preiswerte Hard- und Software für Musiker und Produzenten anbietet. Perfektes Abstimmen für die Aufnahme

Die Universal Control App des Herstellers lässt sich auf Rechnern, sowie auch mobilen Geräten installieren. So ist man bei der Aufnahme flexibel und kann so in den unterschiedlichsten Szenarien perfekt abgestimmt aufnehmen. In dieser App kann unter anderem der Gain der Preamps und die Phantomspeisung für die angeschlossenen Kondensatormikrofone gesteuert werden. Die speziellen, modernen Preamps nutzen digital gesteuerte Analogtechnik und sorgen für eine rauscharme Aufnahme. Im Lieferumfang befindet sich eine zwölfmonatige Lizenz für die DAW PreSonus Studio One+, sowie auch Zugang zur One Professional Edition und weiteren Add-Ons, womit das Produzieren von Content sofort starten kann. Für das Abhören in einem idealen Sweetspot können zwei optional erhältliche Studiomonitor-Paare in einem Winkel von 30° zueinander aufgebaut werden.
