Ich hatte mir das Band zum Test auf meiner Bandmaschiene AKAI 4200 DS MKII bestellt. Ältere Bänder (1977 -79) aufgenommen werden nur noch abgespielt, um die gute alte Musik zu hören. Nun hatte ich die Maschine überhohlt und neu eingemessen. Das Bandmaterial RTM LPR 90 hat mich voll überzeugt. Mit Geschwindigkeiten 9,5 als auch 19 cm/s erzielte ich gute bis sehr gute ERgebnisse. bei 19 cm/s waren keine Unterschiede zwischen Vor- und HInterband zu hören. Auch der Abrieb oder vernschmieren der Tonköpfe ist vernachlässigbar. Ich bin froh, wieder gutes Bandmaterial gefunden zu haben und werde bestimmt noch einiges ordern.

When i first tried it I thought I was monitoring the source... But no - it was the tape. Compared to NOS tapes, THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE! about 90% of the original signal - with a small (albetit very aesthetic) notch at @ 6 KHz - and great HF response over 10 KHz. It's got character and accepts levels above 0dB easily. It tends to saturate over 3dB, but not always - it depends on the spectral "richness" of the signal. Of all the 4 tapes types from RTM, this is the one is best for home recordings.
