TAD ST-Style Wiring Kit

I bought this kit to have a backup when changing pickups on my 1996 American Standard Stratocaster (which is now a real vintage!), in case I messed something with the solder. I was not sure what to expect at first, but I was impressed by the quality of the components as soon as I opened the package, especially the pickup selector switch is the same as the original in my Stratocaster, which is very difficult to find from Fender since they moved the manufacturing of this hardware outside the USA and an original tend to cost a lot of money (just because it's branded on the package, I guess!). It even comes with wiring instructions! This is a full kit assembly, and I'll definitely buy it again if I need to fully rewire my Stratocaster again. At the end of the day, the pots you find from other brands like Fender or Gold are great too and probably all you need, but this one has the orange top 047µF capacitor and the selector switch that make a difference (well, not in sound quality, but since you know you have these installed, you will play better!!), and the jack socket is a quality one (this does have an impact on the sound, if you ever tried to play with a faulty, unstable one, you know what I mean). This is definitely a recommended purchase if you need a full kit replacement or even just the selector, you probably don't really need this if you only want a single pot, but I personally find it good to always have a full kit around for emergency, and this would be my first choice.

J'ai acheté ce set suite à un changement de micros de HSS à SSS.
Le fait d'avoir tous les composants à un prix moins cher qu'en achetant les pièces à l'unité c'est vraiment bien.
2 gros bémols:
- le sélecteur 5 positions vient SANS vis alors que TAD les propose à son catalogue et que Thomann les vend à l'unité. Je m'en suis rendu compte une fois les produits reçus donc je n'allais pas commander 2 vis en payant 15 euros de port. Ca couterait rien à TAD de les mettre dans le sachet car les têtes de vis ça s'abime ou alors celui qui veut acheter ce kit pour cabler une guitare partcaster est bien embêté
- Le sélecteur 5 positions fonctionne vraiment mal alors que c'est un CRL, pas un bas de gamme. Celui monté sur ma guitare auparavant était un DM-50 et je n'ai pas eu de problèmes pendnat 5 ans.,,,
Donc dans l'ensemble c'est bien mais je m'attendais à mieux de la part de TAD

Ich habe mir das Kit gekauft um meiner Bausatz-Strat neue Elektronik zu verpassen. Fazit, der Sound ist Top. Einziges Manko : ich habe nicht gesehen, dass die Schrauben für den Kippschalter nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten sind. Des Weiteren war für meine Gitarre der Schaftdurchmesser der Potis zu groß. Was allerdings auch an der Gitarre selber liegen kann.
Alles in allem eine super Qualität.
Es war den Kaufund den Versuch auf jedenfall wert. Klare Kauf Empfehlung. Rockige Grüße aus NRW
