For the price, this is an excellent pedal. It does a transparent clean boost, a mid-boost and a lo/hi enhance boost at the flick of a 3-way mini-switch. It has enough input gain to go from clean to moderate overdrive and an impressive amount of output gain that can really push an amp's preamp stage. The treble and bass tone controls offer a wide sweep.

The problem is the footswitch. After a year or so of light home use, it started to cut out and eventually failed altogether. Reading up on internet, this is apparently a common problem, and I personally know of one case where the same thing happened in a live context.
Further investigation shows that it is not an easy fix and people either buy a new one or just give up on it. I have a few TC pedals, a couple with the same kind of switch, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen to them.
