tc electronic Teleport GLT

Auf Grund des zur Zeit sehr günstigen Preises habe ich das Teleport GLT angeschafft. Nach der schnellen Lieferung durch Thomann hier mein Eindruck.

Das Gerät macht was es soll. Hochohmige Gitarren / Bassignale über eine längere Strecke via XLR Kabel
zu übertragen. Das macht das Gerät hervorragend.
Die Alternative von Radial Engineering ( SGI ) ist mit knapp 300¤ deutlich teurer.
Warum man zwei einzelne Geräte kaufen muss und nicht ein Package aus beiden erschließt sich mir nicht. Also man braucht ein GLT und ein GLR.
Die Geräte sind sehr stabil aus Metall mit großen Kunststoff Ecken gebaut und damit auch im rauhen Studio / Live Betrieb kaum zu beschädigen.
Das Manual ist nur in englischer Sprache und die Informationen sind eher dürftig.
Der am `Sender?angebrachte Drag Regler ist leider nicht eindeutig beschriftet. Rechtsdreh nach - bedeutet hochohmiger 1 Mohm, linksdreh nach + senkt die Eingangsimpedanz auf 22 Kohm ab, was auch im ?Empfänger ? als Höhenabsenkung deutlich zu hören ist.
Ein 12 Volt Netzteil ist dem GLT beigepackt.
Eine lohnende Anschaffung zu einem äußerst attraktivem Preis.

I purchased this D.I. to give a go with my guitar to some multi-efx units I had laying around in my studio, only sporting XLR connections. It should basically work as a standard D.I., but with the "level" knob control, I thought it could somehow also work as a mighty "preamp" to drive the multi-efx inputs a little harder. Long story short: this was not the case, as the "level" had no sensible effect on that, besides it still allowed me to do the trick and certainly did not alter the sound in any tangible way (I mean: no more than the old 12 bit DACs on those efx-units could!). All in all, a sturdy product delivering what it was built for.
