Assembly is very nice and easy, only with a screwdriver. The system might have changed from the past because the manual points to some allen wrench, I think this current system (bolts and round bolt housings that lock in place when turned with a screwdriver) is very smart and it also enables you to cleanly disassemble if you wish to move your furniture at any point in time.

The only "permanent" screws are the ones for the rails. I installed both front and back, not a complicated task.

I like the finish and I didn't find differences such as "being more bright than in pictures". To me it looks exactly as my expectation.

Overall I am quite happy with my purchase

This rack turned out to be exactly what I needed for my setup. Assembly was simple and didn’t require any special tools beyond a basic screwdriver. The hardware feels solid, and the locking system is well-designed, making everything fit together securely without feeling overly complicated. It’s clear that stability and practicality were the design's priorities.

Once built, the rack feels sturdy and reliable. It holds my gear firmly with no wobble, and installing both front and rear rails was straightforward. The finish looks professional and matches the product photos perfectly. Overall, it’s a well-made, dependable piece of studio furniture, and I’m very pleased with the purchase.

Man mag sich wundern, warum ein bisschen Sperrholz mit zwei Rackleisten 162€ (Stand 3/22) kostet. Und klar, kann man auch selber bauen - wenn man denn gutes Werkzeug sowie 3 Stunden zum Sägen und Umleimen hat und natürlich den Materialaufwand für's Holz und Beschläge von geschätzt 40€ im Baumarkt (Autofahrt kostet auch!) plus Rackschienen bezahlt hat.

Zugegeben, 1 Stunde bastelt man auch bei diesem Bausatz. Was man erhält, ist ein superstabiles Rack, das sehr hübsch anzuschauen ist. Sogar meine Frau fand das, und die handelt mit Vitra, USM und Co.
Die Verbindungen der Teile (also die mitgelieferten Beschläge) sind gut, das Holz ist erstaunlich stabil. Das merkt man, wenn man die Rackleiste hineinschraubt: Das ist anstrengend! Man könnte beanstanden, dass die Löcher für die Rackleisten nicht vorgebohrt sind; aber wo sollte das sein? Schließlich kann man die Tiefe der Geräte nicht voraussehen, und es gibt ja auch noch Glastüren usw.

Die Leisten lassen Luft für Ventilation übrig (ca. 1/2 HE insgesamt bei 10HE gesamt, das ist ideal). Es wurde an alles gedacht. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.
