Owned the Tobias Killer B V for a week now.. I love the playerbility and the construction. The sapele body is solid and the neck is well made. No sharp edges and dead spots on the frets. The truss rod is a 2 way and works really well..I got a low action with no buzz on any of the frets. It also come with the Bartolini NTMB+FL which I love because the treble frequency is centered at 6.5khz. However, Strings spacing is 17.5mm not 19mm. Also, I had a bit of an issue with the pickups.. they were too mid heavy which is good for finger style playing. However, I couldn't get a decent slap tone on it especially on the D string. It sounded dead even after changing to labella strings. I initially rewired them in parallel but sounded the same with a great loss of output. The pickup resistance is around 5
2k in series for the bridge pickup and 4.2k for the neck pickup. I had to rewire them in single coil mode using outer coils to get a decent slap tone... thankfully, the bartolini preamp has a trim pot to boost the gain.. that helped boost the low output pickup in single coil mode.. so far.. I'm enjoying it now..
