Comfortable, Flexible and Fun
Edward5103 28.12.2014
I bought these brushes to use with my Cajon, as the brushes are made from nylon and don't damage the plywood surface of the Cajon.

Construction:
They have a rubber coated handle that is large, comfortable to grip and pleasant to hold. The striking part of the brush has nylon bristles that are thick but flexible and seem very strong. I don't have any worries and they look like they'll last a long time.

Flexibility and sound:
I love these because they're flexible. They have two rubber rings surrounding the nylon bristles. The rubber rings can be moved low down near the handle, allowing you to get a 'swish' type sound. If you move the rubber rings higher up, they push the nylon bristles closer together and allow you to get a solid stick sound.

Brushes for rock?
UniversalAntHolder 04.11.2025
I play mostly prog rock, sometimes leaning towards metal. Occasionally I need something brush like to play on lighter parts but need to switch to almost full on banging directly with no time to switch between brushes and sticks. I have found that the "monsters" can mimic wire brushes quite nicely, even the sweep sounds, and can provide a full sound when hitting them full on, both with the drums and cymbals. Keep in mind they're not meant for quick rolls or passages along the drums, as they are quite bendy, but can give off a much higher volume than standard wire brushes. Quality is fantastic and I'm very happy with the versatility they provide.
