On paper it was ideal. I had specific needs and I wanted to downsize my Audio interface.
2 mic input, easy controls, nice screen and incremental volume, ADAT, + some MIDI possibilities...
Pros: nice screen
big large and smooth control knobs.
overall solid build
Loads of possible connections
possible expansion
simple UI and OS.
Cons:
The connections (especially at the back - ADAT in particular) felt really loose. Same for USB-C plug.
I still needed ADAT to run my 8input Behringer to record drums.
Well... the BIG CON:
I plugged it in a Mac M1 and the Mac didn't recognised the interface (the thing is class compliant no driver required for Mac...) Nope ! no luck. Restarted Mac and Xvive... but then the More You hub started blinking like a Christmas tree for about 1 min... as though it wanted to start but something prevent it to do it. It rebooted eventually. I tried another Cable, and on another Mac... basic troubleshooting. No go ! The damn thing wasn't recognised.
I never got to hear the sound of the thing.
So, sadly, after 20 mins of unsuccessful use, for something that is suppose to be plug and play, it's going back to Treppendorf.
Sorry Xvive. I love your In-Ear monitor and your 5 Ghz wireless guitar system but this was a fiasco.
