Audota AME-200 PRO Amp Modeler

Es un buen producto. Solvente, económico y bien construido. Tiene muchas opciones y para sacarle su juguito tienes que estar horas configurándolo. Hay que entender que para que valga solamente 115€ tiene ciertos compromisos. Los bancos de sonido de serie son decepcionantes quitando 1 o 2. Tienes que añadirle lo antes posible unos IR de calidad como por ejemplo los de York Audio y una vez que los encuentras solamente acepta los de 44,1KHz (para entendernos, los de peor calidad). El soporte del fabricante es directamente inexistente (No esperes mejoras o actualizaciones por parte del fabricante). Tienes que buscarte la vida para encontrar los manuales en internet que están en chino o inglés, puedes buscarte un LLM para traducirlo pero aún así el esfuerzo lo tienes que hacer tu. Las actualizaciones brillan por su ausencia y la pedalera solamente está en chino e inglés. La aplicación para Windows está solamente en chino e inglés, etc. Los bancos de sonidos de baterías son poco configurables, lo que no es muy últil, etc. El pedal de expresión solamente se puede usar como boost de volumen o wah (no es configurable de ninguna otra manera) y otro fallo gordo es que la pantalla no es muy brillante ni tampoco es LED, con lo que si te la llevas a un directo como utilices máquinas de humo, estás jodido. Ahora lo positivo: Si estás dispuesto a meterle horas y sacar tonos válidos con IR's de calidad, el dispositivo vale la pena: El afinador funciona correctamente, suena con una calidad más que aceptable, la batería dura como 5 o 6 horas, puedes utilizarla como amplificador princial conectandola a una mesa de mezclas en un directo o como amplificador de ensayo a través de la salida de auriculares, la calidad de construcción es muy buena 100% metal. En resúmen es una pedalera y modelador de amplificadores que para un principiante con poco presupuesto, ganas de aprender y de meterle horas puede ser muy funcional. Te descomplica mucho la vida una vez que ya la has configurado.

Additional comment: I see that this review has a thumbs down - I have no idea why. I used this live at the weekend, the gig was a blinder and the unit worked faultlessly. The battery indicator was still showing max bars at the end of almost 3 hours. The lead guitarist from the band I play bass in commented that it sounded brilliant. My gig guitar is a Sire headless, and my amp is a Katana 100 2/12. In conclusion happy with it in rehearsal, happy with it live. I can only conclude that those who say this unit sounds bad simply don't know how to programme a multi FX unit. Pros: price, metal housing, compact, excellent tube OD model, expression pedal, fully customisable FX chain, price, internal battery, easy and effective PC software, price, upcoming NAM2 capability, user IR slots, and did I mention price?
Cons: Some amp models a bit 'meh' out of the box, as with all multi FX units a lot of the presets are nonsense. No stomp mode (would you really miss it? I never use it on my Zoom or Boss multi FX pedals). It’s very compact, plus or minus point? The 3 band EQ is not parametric. I painted a dot on the master volume control so I can see where the control is set from playing height. It is rather compact, so you have to look when selecting patches. It is also impossible to see the status of the expression pedal from playing height and the fact that the pedal doesn't have a noticeable switch is not ideal. There is a very slight delay switching patches with lots of FX and demanding amp models in the chain.


General comments: You will probably want to make your own patches. The good news is that the factory presets are completely editable. I suspect that most players, like me, will not generally be using more than half a dozen patches anyway. I found the Green and Tube overdrives particularly pleasing. NAM2 compatibility is something I am looking forward to as well. I shall be gigging with it next week. Should be fun!

Conclusion: this unit is simply outstanding at this price point. Put in a little effort editing the patches and you will have perfectly usable multi FX unit. I have honestly never had such a smile on my using a similar device, the PC software is fabulous to use, the easiest and most intuitive I have ever come across. I thoroughly recommend this unit either as your first multi FX pedal (and it will spoil you to some extent) or as a spare compact and self powered unit to take to gigs if you have a more upmarket main unit. Love it.

Diese Wunderkiste stellt Vieles in den Schatten, da müssen sich die etablierten Hersteller warm anziehen.
Erster Eindruck nach dem Auspacken: Mann, ist das Ding winzig. Sind die Fusstaster nicht zu eng beieinander? Doch der direkte Vergleich mit einer 600€ teuren MIDI-Leiste zeigt daß es sich nur um Nuancen handelt. Man trifft die Taster, das winzige Pedal für Vol/Wah ist tatsächlich etwas klein und wird auf Dauer kein Freund von Metaller-Stiefeln sein.
Die Verarbeitung macht einen für den unfassbaren Preis ganz ordentlichen Eindruck. Es gibt ein normales Poti für Mastervolume und einen Dreh-Encoder mit Druckfunktion für Zugriff auf die Menüpunkte. Das Display ist recht winzig, aber gut ablesbar, im Play-Modus ist der gewählte Sound gut ablesbar.
Zum komfortablen Editieren der Sounds empfiehlt sich der PC-Editor, doch auch am Gerät selber lassen sich Sounds bearbeiten oder ggfs auch neu erstellen. Leider habe ich es noch nicht geschafft die Reihenfolge der einzelnen Module zu ändern, am PC geht es einfach indem man mit der Maus hin- und herschiebt.
Die Amp-Profile sind schlichtweg unglaublich, die Auswahl der mitgelieferten Effekte ist auch gut.
Getestet wurde über Kopfhörer, über ein HiFi-Anlage und über eine PA-Endstufe in eine 2*12-Zoll Box mit Kemper-Kone-Speakern. Ein paar kleine Anpassungen und es klingt gut.
Man sollte sich von den mit sehr übertriebenen Einstellungen programmierten Effekt-Presets nicht abschrecken lassen. Wenn Amp und Cab gut klingen, dann lohnt es sich bei Chorus/Flanger/Delay/Reverb die Werte etwas runterzuschrauben, und dann wird es amtlich. Einzig der Pitch-Shift- Effekt ist (noch?) nicht brauchbar, ob noch an der Firmware gefeilt werden muß oder der Prozessor überfordert ist wird die Zukunft zeigen.
Das größte Manko derzeit liegt bei den sehr unterschiedlichen Pegeln der Klänge, aber auch hier kommt hoffentlich ein Update.
IR und .nam lassen sich bereit am PC-Editor importieren.
Der integrierte Akku macht die Sache auch noch mobil, die Kapazität habe ich nicht zeitlich erfasst, aber mehrere Stunden waren es beim ersten Testen.

Das Ding ist bereits im jetzigen Stadium (es wirkt kritisch betrachtet ein wenig wie eine Beta-Software) jeden Cent wert, und wenn diese junge Firma am Ball bleibt und sich um die Software-Schwächen kümmert, dann könnten die ganz schnell zu einem großen Namen werden. Audota sollte sich einen gewieften Gitarristen ins Boot holen, der das Gerät von der Nutzerseite unter die Lupe nimmt und optimiert.
Vielleicht kommen dann irgendwann auch mal Heavy-Duty-Versionen mit Stahlgehäuse dazu. Gitarrensound ist endgültig keine Preisfrage mehr. Dafür vielen Dank an alle beteiligten Firmen die nicht auf die überdrehte "Manufaktur" und "Boutique"-Schiene setzen.
