Excellent value for money

The finish is almost impeccable. You would need to use a magnifier (and would the effort be worth?) to find anything. Even the f-holes are well painted.
This guitar is a beauty, of course. The colour might be pretty normal for this type, but it is impressingly beautiful and classic and never becomes boring.
Technically, good hardware, the guitar remains in tune (after it has accomodated itself to my home). Potis feel good and work fine. The weight is still acceptable.
As regards the sound, I find this a very mellow instrument. I am sure you can play hard-rock with this, if you want (I hardly do distortion beyond a mild crunch, thus I cannot really judge). Resonates well without an amp.
I have the impression that Epiphone has made a really good job with their "Inspired by Gibson" series.

The Epiphone ES-335 is an icon of music history. As a left handed guitarist I chose this guitar due to its many sounds+ large body, as I am use to the feel of a large acoustic. Plus I’m a sucker for cherry red. I think it matches with my personal style.

This is my first step into the world of electric guitars. I think I made the right decision as it fits my budget. Epiphone is a respectable brand with well crafted items. Don’t let the china tag make you think otherwise, this is a quality guitar with Gibson-like standards.

It produces sound even without an amp thanks to its semi-hollow design. Also I got some stickers as an added bonus. Size isn’t as overbearing as I originally feared. Strap is needed for standing.

Thomann is incredibly punctual when handling their orders. Item was well packaged and received without a scratch. Thanks guys :)

Super für den Preis

Ich wollte schon immer eine Hollowbody Gitarre, und hab jetzt einfach mal zugeschlagen. Für den Preis kann man nicht klagen, super Klang und sehr gut verarbeitet. Habe auch noch eine andere Epiphone, und vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis sind die einfach bombe.

Great guitar, right price.

I've seen several reviews of the Epiphone ES-335 and all seem to be in agreement that it stands up well to the Gibson version. I've not played a Gibson ES-335,so I can't compare directly, but... this is a great guitar. Well made, impressive weight, and with the action suitably lowered, plays beautifully across the neck. The pick ups are loud (!) with impressive amounts of sustain, and around the 10th to 12th fret, there is a very familiar ES-335 sound.
There was a big red notice on the guitar bag that said "Attention! Valuable and Important Accessories in Box. DO NOT DISCARD!!" I was excited to discover it was a square of 'Mini-Air' bubble wrap (recyclable) and a custom-made round foam protector for the pick-up selector switch. I will treasure them.
Anyway, at this price, a left-hander who dreams of an affordable ES-335, really should pick one of these up. It's a joy to play.
