T
Top quality as always from Gotoh

I've never understood why the Tele purists insist on those nasty three saddle bridges. I would personally have preferred all Telecasters to come with six individually adjustable saddles. Unfortunately the Telecaster I wanted (because it sound amazing and looks gorgeous!) had the old school three saddle bridge.
For acceptable intonation on a 3 saddle Telecaster there's really just two options: Either bring out the files and compensate the saddles yourself or buy compensated saddles like these ones. I felt a bit lazy and I know Gotoh always provide top quality products so in this case I decided on the latter. To be honest I'm not sure I saved that much time. I could probably have compensated the stock saddles in the time it took to change to these Gotoh saddles. Of course you will need specialist tools to compensate saddles so unless you do a lot of guitar repairs it will probably make more sense to buy compensated saddles like these ones, rather than spend more money on files. There is of course a learning curve to compensating saddles too and you may not get it right the first time.
The intonation is still a tiny bit off but close enough for any practical purpose. It's certainly a lot better than the stock saddles. Personally I don't see the point of brass saddles but I don't mind them either.
I guess one could argue than the poor intonation of stock 3 saddle Telecasters is a part of the Tele sound but if you want decent intonation on a 3 saddle Tele these compensated saddles are as good as it gets.
