To start off, the transport packaging was very premium, all padded inside the box and double-bagged and that left a really good unboxing impression.
The guitar is definitely a looker! The Army Burst matt finish looks very good IRL. I was coming in expecting imperfections here and there for this price point, but this exceeded all of my expectations! The only issue from my first impression was the neck volume pot's knob basically falling off, but that is an easy fix to make it stick again ;)
The biggest positive surprise was definitely how thin the neck is for a baritone of this scale and that there is no heel for the set neck! The comfort and playability is truly immaculate. Stainless steel frets and a graphite nut at this price point also show that these (along with the premium-feling neck) are not features that should be paywalled by a four-digit price point. Eat your heart out, *insert any popular guitar brand*!
These Tesla pickups also sound quite crisp for heavier music with distortion, but as they are a bit more on the medium overall output side, with coil-split the signal get's very noticeably weaker.
Overall my quality rating is a 4,5* due to the knob falling off, 4,5* due to the low output coil-split and a full 5* for features as as a whole this guitar is a great package with an awesome neck that's tough to beat even at 2x the price.
