Kramer Guitars Assault 220 FR Black

Esta guitarra fue una adquisición esperada, pues esta marca realmente siempre había estado bien nombrada y evaluada por muchos guitarristas que había conocido. Pero la verdad es que no he podido disfrutar de ella como hubiese querido. Su fabricación me ha dado problemas constantes y su sonido no es muy estable, a causa de su fabricación. Con lo que no puedo dar una valoración muy positiva de este producto.

This is a great guitar for the price with a few manageable niggles. The Floyd Rose is more or less set for 9/10 slinkys having only three springs to counteract the string load at the bridge - changing to heavier gauge strings (I put an unused set of 12/52 DR Black Beauties on as they were going spare) overwhelms the three springs in concert pitch and I had to add two extra springs to the claw but it balanced out nicely with five. A five spring claw setup should have been standard really. The matt black fretboard and back neck looked dull and somewhat cheap but a heavy coat of wax soon rectified this. Also I could not see the wisdom in coil splitting only the neck humbucker - coil splitting both the neck and bridge humbuckers would seem more sensible and add more sound options. But overall the Kramer Assault 220 FR is great value for the dosh and plays perfectly. I also bought the Thomann Hard case (Item 122213) as the Kramer will not fit in a standard Les Paul hard case but the Thomann fits like a glove.

I ordered this guitar 2011 and it is still in use. I played with this guitar around 100 concerts. Every time its was good sounding and reliable guitar.

Good quality and sound. The most bad thing on this guitar is Floyd rose tremolo, but this can be replaced... Original stays in tune, but its hard to tune it and the screws are not good. But hey it's guitar for 300¤, so for that price is really good guitar and I recommend everyone who wants to try floyd rose and get a good guitar for good price.
