El pedal tiene un sonido muy bueno
Y recomendaría este pedal para personas con amplis de baja ganancia a válvulas tipo DSL1 O 5. Del estilo y en alta ganancia a mí me sacaba pitidos. El sonido es muy bueno pero con muchos pitidos si solo vas a usar como en mi caso un EVH15w. Como digo yo este ampli ya es muy de válvulas cabreadas y el black quizás a pelo sea al darle gain demasiado negro con negro
Osea he probado con un DSL1 y tremendo y con el EVH pues con algún arreglo como tipo torpedo captor o más baratos a secas era soltar la guitarra y tener que bajar el volumen el una gran parte de configuraciones
Como digo solucionable sonido muy bueno

Pero sin duda para quien me parece un pedal perfecto?
Por llevar pilas entrada de auriculares y software para instalar a un móvil.
Lo veo ideal para aquellos que busquen practicar en tranquilidad sin necesidad más que pilas y sistemas inalámbricos unos cascos el móvil y entre gira y gira en Hotel caravana o donde te dé la gana tendrás una navaja suiza de sonidos y posibilidades afinador y auriculares para hacerlo sin serolestado ni molestar
Para profesionales no es grande y te da sonidos verdaderamente buenos creo que es el pedal ideal para este tipo de músicos en casa por ese precio no por buscar mejor sonido si no pilas en casa para que si no vas a sacarlo no veo un pedal para un estudio cada lo veo como nabaja suiiza
pata giras y tener un todo en uno para practicar y quizá hasta solventarse algún que otro problema en directo si salgo te fallará.
Esa función a este pedal le va como anillo al dedo.
Y es para yo veo va más dirigido en mi opinión . Ruidoso con alta ganancia pero solucionable con atenuador o en convinacion para baja ganancia en válvulas una gozada de sonido

Für 200 EUR, immerhin günstiger als viele sog. Boutique-Zerrer, erhält man hier sehr viel. Das mal vorab.

Ich suchte nach einer günstigen, aber hinreichend guten Lösung um Live mit wenig Aufwand Gitarrensounds zu realisieren.

Das kriegt man hier.

Ich schicke ihn dennoch zurück.

Weshalb?

Im Quervergleich zu NDSP Plini oder dem Ableton Stock Rectifier (Softube) haben alle Sounds des POD Black diesen Effekt der manchmal als „Handtuch vorm Speaker“ beschrieben wird. Das klingt jetzt dramatischer als es ist, fällt im A/B-Vergleich mit dem exakt gleichen DI-Signal aber auf.

Line6 hätte dem sicherlich über einen Master-EQ oder besser noch custom IRs eine Lösung gegenüberstellen können.

Vermutlich spricht eine hinreichende Abgrenzung zu den höherpreisigen Line6-Produkten aber dagegen.

Die Effekte sind solides Mittelmaß und die Distortion-Pedale - wenig überraschend - nur effektiv, wenn der Amp selbst wenig Gain eingestellt hat. Das ist aus meiner Sicht aber eher nicht die Idee hinter einem Highgain-Amp-Pedal. Ich will ja die Zerrstrukturen dieser Amps. Deshalb hätte man sich diese Pedale vielleicht auch sparen können und dafür eher einen Presence-Regler hinzufügen.

Apropos Amps: Mein Fav war Anvil, welcher meines Wissens ein Line6 Eigengewächs und kein Offspring anderer Inspirationen ist.

Bezüglich der Authentizität modellierter Amps bin ich kaum aussagekräftig. Von den hier verpackten Amps kenne ich nur den Rockerverb im Original. Dieser klingt eher anders. Das wäre mir aber auch eher Latte, da imho der interessante Aspekt des POD Black einfach unterschiedliche (hoffentlich gut klingende) Sounds sein sollten. Was da wie gut kopiert wird, ist mir weniger wichtig, solang das Resultat stimmt.

Was ist denn das Resultat?

Ich denke wer mit kleinem Budget einen guten Highgain-Sound sucht, der mit Kopfhörern, flexibel unterwegs oder abends im Wohnzimmer (Batteriebetrieb möglich!) gespielt werden kann, könnte hier sehr happy werden. Wer teurere Modeller spielt und eine günstige Backup-Lösung für live sucht, kann hier bestimmt ebenfalls sein Glück finden. In jedem Fall würde ich empfehlen Presets in der stabilen, übersichtlichen Software zu konfigurieren. Am Pedal standalone ist man sehr eingeschränkt.

Der POD macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck, ist aber ein Hartplastikbomber. Doch auch hier gilt: 200€ - da kriegt man eben nicht die Welt.

This pedal have very high quality sounds for Thrash, Brutal Death Metal and Grindcore style of music out of the box.
Tweeking the knobs via Android Phone was so easy, i was take screenshot from one youtuber that play metal and show his settings and i copy paste all the settings from photo, tweeking every know, and it was right in the face precise sound like from video, saved the preset.
Today is so easy to find the sound online even from videos of others if not a downloadable presets, i dont know if there is that yet to download.
Sound is very masive depends of your guitar strings size and tune.
I tested on 54 and 68 size strings and both sounds very clear and brutal.
You can get from Thrash 80s to modern Slam Brutal Death/Grind tone and still have all crystal clear.
Noise Gate works great to even is not a noisy pedal.
For this price its a criminal not to have this pedal at home at least for practice on headphones or PC, is so easy fast plug and play that its must have product.
Somehow i manage to work around to play a song on my phone directly to the pedal via USB-c and from pedal to headphones, great for learning songs and practice.
I just wish that Pod express APP on the phone have Horizontal orientation option for more transparent view on the knobs like on PC, its just vertical for now, maybe on future update...
Over all its a must have product for everyone that love late night headphones guitar play with a best modern and oldschool sound you can have today, specially for the price od 130 euros in a Cyber week.

3.5mm instead 6.3mm jack for headphones
it would be more nice feel if is a metal housing instead of plastic because is a great Brutal Metal Pedal in a Plastic box, but for home use maybe is okay....
