If your an adult beginner and want to find quality for your money then this is the bow for you, it is on the light side and will bounce if you let it but if you can afford the aged pernambuco version and are an advanced player then I'd invested in the more expensive one, this bow is great and enjoy playing with it everyday, I remember the sound the first time I played with it, 3 layers straight away you can hear mid and lower sounds coming from the violin, it will unlock real sound instantly but an aged bow might give you better balance and resonance I imagine. If you are looking for a bow that is well made sounds great this is the one, but if you are already playing complex pieces professionally then I'd buy the one with 3 stars.
