Gran invento ...

I got this to completely redo the electronics of my epiphone Les Paul classic.
Remember, you will need to widen the small sized push-pull pot openings on your epiphone. Non push-pulls don’t need rework.
Presentation is really nice. I was confused at first because there is no CTS mark on the pots. Switch is not switchcraft, don’t buy switchcraft switch tips, they won’t fit. Good thing is the set includes cream switch tip. It feels exactly like epiphone switch, but the nut is definitely not metric. Cabling is not premium braided or cloth wire but looks reliable.
Okay, after the looks and titles, it works perfectly. It literally took me minutes to install the harness. The wago connector is really easy to work with. Switch and jack cables are nicely thinned for very easy installation. Grounding is so much easier than other solderless harnesses, especially if your pickups have braided wires. 50’s and 60’s switches work perfectly. From now on pickup change will be a breeze.
I would recommend making the braided and ground connections before installing the pcb into the body. Once you’re all set, it is really easy to finish the connections.
To summarize, I don’t think this is an extremely needed upgrade to a stock epiphone with full sized pots. For gibsons, pcb’s on tributes or studios feel more premium than this. If you are not good at soldering like me and try something different every once in a while, you can go for it. It is still a very high quality and well made harness that would not let you down.

Nedded some work
RollingCloud 22.02.2026
Just my experience with this wiring system.
Pulling out the electronics from my Epiphone LP Standard 50s was a breeze.
No need to desolder anything, just pulled out some connectors, and cut a bridge ground.
Now, when putting a Obsidianwire PCB in the cavity, one side would get stuck, so I had to
sand the cavity wall a few mm on that spot. Pulled it out, then installed the 3 way switch
without a problem.
The output jack was another story. The jack is bigger then the Epiphone`s, and the Epiphone`s
jack opening (and the jack plate) is not a circle (to prevent the jack from rotating),
so I had to sand it until it fit. Another problem was the big size of the OWire jack.
Nomatter how I would rotate it ,the holes of the jack plate wouldn`t match with the holes
on the body, so I sanded it a litle bit more :-D. Ah.. I wish I did put another small one I had...
A little soldering but less work. After installing that, putting SD 59s pickups in,
finally pulling all the wires to the cavity, proceding with connecting the pickups to the
connector. Man, pulling the shield braided wire through those small opening ground screw
connectors is... well it was frustrating. If only they would be bigger...
The final part is putting those wires in the correct openings, pressing the little
buttons to open them. Finaly... plugging it to an amp,and tapping pickups with a
screwdriver... Everything works fine, restringing ,and that 60s wiring selected gives nice clear
tones with volume pot rolled off. ...and my Epiphone knobs didn`t fit, even Gibsons from my
other guitar didn`t, even the Allparts Bell Knobs didn`t untill I used a Dremel type tool to widen
them until they fit. Could`t find those 24 splin knobs, on their site are sold off.
So at the end all works, but it bothers me that if I would want to install for example some
other braided shield wire pickups I would have to pull out the pcb, because there is no way to
pull those wires through in that position.
Hope it helps. Cheers!

Did I get a bad one?
Des51 29.04.2024
I bought this after reading such positive reviews. Can't believe my results.
Instalation not too bad but potentiometers so light I thought they were budget ones. After install and restring was hoping for some sweet tones and sensitive response from pots. Rhythm not too bad, Treble nothing at all until 8 - 10.

A dissapointing purchase and time waste for me.

Putting back my £10 chinese imports.
Sorry Obsidian but won't but anything else from you.
