Reverend Double Agent OG VP

After a decade of playing my trusty Ibanez Jem-Jr, my musical tastes evolved, and the wear and tear on the guitar became noticeable. It was time for an upgrade, but I wasn't keen on shelling out exorbitant sums for a top-tier brand like Fender or Gibson. Enter the Reverend Double Agent OG, a guitar I discovered through Reddit recommendations, lauded for its quality craftsmanship and affordability.
I was immediately impressed by the Double Agent OG's build quality. The frets were smooth, the neck was straight, the pickups were perfectly aligned, and the tuners worked flawlessly. It was evident that Reverend doesn't compromise on quality, even at their price point.

The guitar has a great shape neck and l own 3 other Reverend guitars all with maple fingerboards and l fancied a rosewood board. I love the pickup layout and the sound is great. I have two problems with this particular guitar one is that the finger board was the driest l have come across for decades, it took the application of oil 7 times to bring out the colour and to feel smooth and oiled as it should do, very very dry. The other was that there is no screening paint in the pickup cavities and the control rebate is only half painted they must have ran out of paint. Both problems l have taken care of. A couple of small problems now taken care of and it is a great guitar.

Wer keine Wunder erwartet erhält eine solide verarbeitete, und gut eingestellte Gitarre mit günstiger, aber ordentlicher Hardware, die Spaß macht (Gitarrengesicht und "spielen wollen" Faktor). Was natürlich sehr subjektiv empfunden ist.
Bei meiner sind ein paar kleine Flusen im Goldrand zu erkennen (aber nur mit Brille, geht bei mir als Alleinstellungsmerkmal durch). Der Hals ist so hell, dass man bezweifeln könnte ob er wirklich "roasted" ist. Sonst hat sie (fast) alle Features die ich gesucht habe. Sogar die Fräsungen für die Elektrik sind mit Schirmlack versehen, was ich nur von teureren Instrumenten kenne. Besser, bzw. perfekt, könnte sie für mich nur noch durch gut polierte Edelstahlbünde und eine Switchkappe in der passenden Farbe zu Pickups und Schlagbrett werden.
