even better than Floyd Rose and even Schaller. And the cost is about HALF. Even at the SAME cost as Floyd Rose, the Gotoh would STILL be superior to the FR and any trems I have seen. But at these prices these are an absolute steal. I don't understand how people spend twice as much to get actually an inferior product. This is not to say that Floyd Rose or Schaller aren't good, they are. But Gotoh hardware kills everything BOTH for quality AND for cost. It's made in Japan to the highest standards. I have both Floyd Rose and Gotoh trems on my guitars, and am a pro on electric and classical guitar, so I am not just shooting my mouth off. The only problem is that the Gotoh has slightly longer back screws, BUT fortunately it fits fine on my guitars! Some people have to mill slightly the part on the back of the arm. But it's worth it! The whole thing really exudes the highest quality, the finish, the feel, the stability. And another thing, I bought several Gotoh parts, not just trems, and again the quality is second to none.

Most worthwhile upgrade for Jem-JR

As the title says.
Turns the Jem-Jr into a usable instrument.
Not sure what language I'll get away with in a Thomann comment section so I'll just say those Ibanez DL trems should be launched on an international mission to the darkest part of the Universe.

Mostly straightforward install ... mostly.
The only thing is if you're planning on doing a full transplant you'll need to find yourself an 11mm drill bit which turns out to be a little tricky and drill the posts in your guitar an extra 10mm deeper before the install. The mounting posts that come with the GOTOH are 11mm *30mm.
The post in the Jem-Jr are 10mm*20.

Apart from that it's a seriously worthwhile upgrade.

Endlich ersetzte ich bei meiner Ibanez RGR 320 das Lo TRS ll durch das Gotoh GE 1996. Nach etlichen Berichten und Videos die die Welt versprachen testete ich das Gotoh. Fazit: Alles eher UNTERtrieben. Denn das Teil ist schlicht Weltklasse! Das ist für mich das am einfachsten zu bedienende und stimmstabilste Tremolo ever!
Eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!
Ein kleiner „Nachteil“: zuerst passte das Tremolo perfekt in die Ausfräsung meiner RGR 320. Nach dem bundrein einstellen aber, stehen die Schrauben für die Saitenklemmen nun hinten an, wenn ich nach hinten tremolieren möchte. Also müsste ich den Gitarren- Body etwas nachfräsen, oder nicht allzu sehr nach hinten tremolieren.
Warum diese Schrauben aber so lange sein müssen, ist mir ein Rätsel. Kürzen wäre möglich, dann ist aber der Dorn vorne weg.
Dennoch ist das Tremolo qualitativ der Oberhammer.
Btw: danke Thomann für die schnelle Lieferung in die Schweiz. Samstag bestellt, Dienstag erhalten. Sackstark!!
