Good looking, well built, feels good and plays well. Thick neck though comfortable, sturdy electronics and switches.
The clean sounds are very fat and very twangy, absolutely beautiful. Now when I try to play distorted, it let's me down, not because the sound is thin or weak, I just find it particularly unpleasant in comparison with the other two Harley Bentons I own. I think it sounds good with fuzz tho, but with high gain distortion it just displeases me, so I will consider a pickup swap in the future. These are very dark, which is ok for the clean tones in my opinion, but they just do not distort in a pleasant way to me.
Also, the string height towards the bridge was quite high. I did some adjusting myself, but can't manage to lower it much without running into too much fret buzz. I may have a luthier set it up at some point.
If it weren't for those two points I'd give it 5 stars
Edit: about the distorted sounds, I have found that I just needed to create very different patches on my Katana 50 than what I was using for my other guitars, mainly with lower mids/presence, and particularly the distorted sounds are much better while using the clean channel and Overdrive/Distirtion pedal effects in front. Now I am happy with the distorted sounds I get from this guitar like that
