Superlux DRK K5C2 B-Stock

I've bought these microphones a while ago and have used them for various recordings now. Their overall sound is quite good. Using EQs, gates etc. I've been able to achieve what I consider a really nice drum sound.
Of course, seven microphones are not enough to record a standard drumkit, so I'm usually using two additional ones as overheads as well as one for the snare (bottom). Therefore I usually use the overheads in the box for Hihat and Ride.

The clamps for the tom/snare mics are a blessing as well, although they look like you need to be a tad careful with them, they are all plastic. Due to the size of the tom mics, they project a little bit too much over the toms, but even when doing fast strokes and whirls I've never hit one of them accidentally.

The box itself is nothing special, just plastic made to look like metal, but it's nice to actually have something to put the mics into. Fitting the cables back in the box can be a pain in the behind though.

Overall I can absolutely recommend this box as a starter kit for drum recordings. Top it up with some additional mics as overheads, and you've got almost everything you need to make first class recordings.

Also mit einer derart guten Verarbeitung hätte ich nicht gerechnet! Anfangs als ich die Mics bekommen hatte hatte ich nich kein Mischpult, so wurde jeder Tag zur Qual endlich die Mics zu testen, und jeden tag stellte sich mir mehr die frage ob ich nicht doch ein zu Billiges Set gekauft hatte, doch dann als endlich das Mischpult dar war, hab ich sie endlich testen können.

Sehr Prakrtisch , schnell aufgebaut und Robuste Schrauben und sehr gute Verarbeitung, dazu noch die Mitgelieferten XLR Kabel ,schneller gehts nicht! Dann nochmal dass Set ein bisschen Nachstimmen und schon gehts los! UNd dann dieser Sound, wirklich sehr gut! Rauschen hab ich überhaupt nicht wahrgenommen! Die Overheads sind wirklich Spitze nd die Bass Drum wird Präzise und Klar abgenommen , schöner sound mit dem Richtgen Attack! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Und Fazit am 24 Januar 2011( fast ein Jahr danach nach dem 11.01.2010): Es hat sich eindeutig gelohnt die Mikrofone zu kaufen. Wirklich bis jetzt keine Probleme gehabt. Nur villeicht die beigelieferten Kabel sollten nicht gerade für Gesangsmikros und des weiteren benutzt werden. Da diese bei ( stärkeren berührungen knacksen und geräusche machen) aber wenn die micros fest am drumset installiert sind, gibt es keine Probleme.
